The forgotten room. That’s the bathroom. We all spend a lot of time in it, but don’t think much about it. The purpose of this site is to get this neglected room back in your life.

I’m not a plumber, although I’ve dealt with quite a few of them in my time. I’m just a bathroom user who wants to know more about what he sees in the bathroom and then explain it so a non-technical person (like myself) can understand it.

I’m not talking about what goes on behind the walls. When my shower was being remodeled I saw what was behind the tile and I don’t ever want to go there again.

So my goal is to provide some basic info about what you see in your bathroom. And here’s how that can help you:

  • Time to remodel? Get some ideas about what to do with your bathroom.
  • Replacing or buying a new bathroom item? Learn about the choices that are available.
  • Want to spruce up your bathroom? Read about what’s new and different in bathrooms.
  • Wonder about the items that are already in your bathroom? Learn about their features and materials.

I do write a lot about showers and shower seats. That’s because I use them every day. And I’ve found that my shower seat is one of the most useful items in my bathroom. And I’m not even disabled. (Knock on wood!)

Another focus is the handicap accessible bathroom. People who are temporarily or permanently physically challenged also spend time in the bathroom. Why shouldn’t they enjoy that experience?
Here are the topics you’ll find on this site.

Shower Seats, Shower Chairs, and Shower Benches

Not just for the disabled and elderly, shower seats, shower chairs, or shower benches provide many benefits. And many options are available from the simple plastic chair to designer built-in benches.

Showers

We take showers because we’re in a hurry. But look around next time you’re in the shower – you’d be surprised at all the items and products available for shower enclosures. We’ll look at all those different elements in this section and consider some of the choices you have.
